Short Bio

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Zurich since September 2022, and I am supervised by Prof. Thomas Fritz.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich in 2019 and my master’s degree in Cognitive Systems at Ulm University in 2022.

I study how focus, attention, and concentration are sustained and challenged in the course of everyday knowledge work. My research takes a holistic perspective, exploring various factors that influence focus and designing tools to support it in meaningful ways. To do this, I use wearables, computer activity tracking, and VR glasses, and I combine tool development with lab and field studies as well as participatory design approaches.
