Short Bio
I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Zurich since September 2022, and I am supervised by Prof. Thomas Fritz.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich in 2019 and my master’s degree in Cognitive Systems at Ulm University in 2022.
I study how focus, attention, and concentration are sustained and challenged in the course of everyday knowledge work. My research takes a holistic perspective, exploring various factors that influence focus and designing tools to support it in meaningful ways. To do this, I use wearables, computer activity tracking, and VR glasses, and I combine tool development with lab and field studies as well as participatory design approaches. I’m always happy to supervise students interested in related topics, whether you have your own idea, want to develop one together, or are curious about any of these methods. Feel free to reach out!
