Call for Participation: Understanding GenAI’s impact on team collaboration!
We are inviting software developers to participate in our latest study exploring how generative AI tools influence collaboration and decision-making within development teams.
Procedure
This study takes place over two to three weeks and involves the following steps:
- Experience Sampling (10 workdays, 10 min/day): Continue your regular work while responding to brief questions up to three times daily.
- End-of-Day Surveys (10 workdays, 5 min/day): Reflect on your workday and interactions with generative AI tools versus human collaboration.
- Potential Interview (15–30 min): Share deeper insights into your experience to help refine our approach.
Reward
By participating, you will gain and help us gain insight into the impact of GenAI tools by reflecting on your interactions.
In addition, you will…
- … be entered into a raffle for a 100 CHF/USD Amazon gift card (1 card per 15 participants).
- … receive a 25 CHF/USD Amazon gift card upon completing the follow-up interview.
Data Privacy
A plugin needs to be installed in your JetBrains IDE, BUT…
- No data from your computer will be collected.
- The plugin only displays the questions for the experience sampling and end-of-day surveys in your IDE, which are hosted on a university-owned Qualtrics server.
